I'm uber-pale, I prefer winter clothes and to make matter worse, I hate the heat. It makes my make up slide off my face, turns my hair into limp, lanky straw and makes my combination skin oilier than a very oily thing.
Various places used to sell the blotting sheets for a couple of quid, but it seems that lots of them have stopped selling them. I was almost resigned to having to buy myself some MAC Blot Sheets (which I'm sure are fab, but at £10 for 30 are a little pricey for my liking) when I found these Tea Tree Blotting Tissues from The Body Shop:
(apologies for the picture quality - I'm out and about today!)
And..quite frankly they're brilliant.
Part of the Tea Tree range, which is aimed at blemished skin, these are thin sheets of tissue paper which absorb excess oil from the skin's surface - great for quick touch ups throughout the day as you don't need a mirror (there is no powder on these, so no risk of overdoing it and leaving a powdery mark on your face).
They also contain tamanu oil, which I've found (after a bit of research) is used to help with elasticity, tone and firmness of the skin and nappy rash too. I'm not sure whether the amount in these sheets will give me enough of the stuff to give me a gorgeous, toned, firm, nappy-rash-free nose but it's always nice to know when there are good things in the products.
They're around £3.50 for 65 (so that's about 5.5p each versus 33p each for the MAC ones) and really do the job, so I think they're excellent value for money. I'll definitely be keeping a pack in my handbag throughout the summer to help keep my schnozz shine free!
Available at The Body Shop (although not on the website it seems?)
