“Who the heck is she?” I hear you ask. Okay, I didn't hear you ask. But you clicked the "About Me" link so I'm fairly sure you're curious.
Well, I’m a (late) twenty-something beauty junkie. Remove the age description and there’s a good chance that that’s you too.
I was given my first lipstick by my grandmother when I was only about 6 (and I still have it) and my mother always taught me the importance of taking care of your skin.
Unfortunately, I didn’t really learn a lot about restraint and so I’m forever buying new products in search of the Holy Grail. So far, I keep thinking I’ve found it but in reality I’m a product whore and I can never stay faithful to anything for long. There might just be something better out there for me.
Outside of beauty stuff, I work in a job that isn’t even remotely connected with beauty and with people who really just think I’m insane. It seems that an understanding of why it is vital that you have an endless selection of products is a quality only a few of us are blessed with.
I love watching movies, don’t understand the fuss over reality TV and almost never read actual books (I prefer audiobooks, they’re like grown-up bedtime stories). Musically I’m mostly a rocker. I like other stuff, but rock is what really floats my boat. I don’t go to the theatre nearly often enough and I adore spending time in art galleries.
I’m a bit of a foodie, which is probably a nice way of saying I usually have my feet in the trough. I like to eat and like to try new things when I can. I’m a rosé wine drinker, although sometimes I’ll have an amaretto and cranberry or a good old JD and coke. I really ought to drink more water as I’m sure the amount of Diet Coke I drink would probably kill your average lab rat.
As well as all that, I’m a little bit neurotic and a bit very sarcastic. I’m tall, I’m blonde, I’m a little heavier than I’d like to be but I’m usually too lazy to fix it. I work too hard at my other job and have a massively hard time switching off, but hopefully the blog will help with that.
So...yeah. That’s me. Or at least it’s as much of me as I can describe on an about me page. To find out the other stuff, you’ll have to stick around and read some posts.
